Crew Foreman

Job Purpose

This position is for a self-starter Foreman to gain experience with management of personnel and projects of Williams Creek Management. A Foreman is expected to take direction from the Division Leader and complete assigned tasks efficiently as possible. The goal is to drive service success that improves customer satisfaction, maximizes customer retention, delivers a high-quality project, and increases profitability.

Duties and Responsibilities

Proficient in the management of personnel and subcontractors
Properly operate multiple types of equipment
Safely and efficiently operate multiple types of excavating equipment
Read and interpret plan sets for proper sequence and process for construction
Biological treatment and disposal systems
Natural stormwater filtration systems
Water quality improvement parks
Stream and floodway realignment
Native Landscaping
Wetland creation/restoration
Prairie creation/restoration
Upland and bottomland woodland restoration
Stream bank stabilization
Erosion control
Prairie and wetland management burns
Rough, finish and fine grading for seed bed preparation
Installation of trees, shrubs, plugs and seeding relating to turf, prairies, wetlands and woodlands
Mulch, stone, and compost installation
Sediment control device installation (silt fence, erosion control blanket, etc.)
Invasive species management via mechanical and chemical application
Green infrastructure (raingardens, BMPs, detention basins)
Hardscape installation
Foreman duties include but are not limited to these responsibilities.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Safety oriented and focused
Ability to lead a team in a positive and career building manner
OSHA trained on the following fields, but not limited to; emergency planning, hazardous materials, PPE, first aid, fire protection, material handling and storage, tools and equipment, motor vehicles and roll over protection for motorized equipment

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

The employee must be willing and able to drive long distances to jobs as well as work long hours, if required.
Lift and move heavy materials, work bent over, stooping, kneeling or crouching.
Tolerate extreme heat and/or extreme cold.
Work throughout the week, out of town and stay overnight, if required.
Must pass pre-employment drug test.
